2019 the club continued to host a series of competitions for members at our lake & attended many public events thoughout the year. As always, these have been accompanyed by various social events both at the lake & elsewhere for club members friends & family to enjoy as well.
In April the club attanded Transportfest at the Museum Of Power near Maldon, for the first time. This event was held over the Easter Weekend. In May the club returned to the Weald Park Country Show at South Weald, Brentwood. Together with the Southend Club we exhibitied on the Sunday & Monday of the May Spring Bank Holiday Weekend. This event is not only closest to our lake, but offers an opertunity to show the models on the water to the general public. At the end of May bank Holiday, we had our Club BBQ Day (Pictured Right). Always I well attended event on our calendar. |
In June the club attended the annual Wings & Wheels Model Show at North Weald, Essex. Due to a lack of trade exhibitors within the enclosure, we had pleny of space to spread yourselves acoss the room. Below are some pictures from the event.
In July we held our Open Day event in which we invite other clubs & members of the public to come & join us at our lake, to take part in some fun on the water. Unfortunately this event did clash with a number of other events at other clubs so was not as well attended as in previous years. In October we attended the Museum Of Power Model show, as we have done on previous years. We were not so lucky with the weather on this occassion, as there was quite a lot of flooding on the day in question, although it did clear up a little later in the day (Pictured Right). |
